My name is Jon Moss and I, together with a lot of help and support from a lot of people, am the organizer of Kieran’s Memorial Golf Day. A friend of mines 7 year old son passed away in one of Addenbrooke’s Children’s wards in 2005. In the very short time Kieran was in the ward, he was looked after extremely well by all the staff. Above all they showed compassion and caring above what was expected of them at a very, very sad time for Kieran’s family and friends and I thought that any monies donated to the hospital would allow them to continue to do what they do best. Back in October 2009 it was my intention to raise a couple of thousand pounds with a one off golf day sometime in 2010 with 20 to 30 players, a raffle and possibly an auction with monies raised going directly to Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust for use in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in memory of Kieran. Although the main objective remains unchanged (raising monies for Addenbrooke’s Children’s department) things have moved on a little as you can see from the attached pages and this event has become one of the biggest and best charity golf days in Essex.
Thank you to every individual and company for the help that you have given me in reaching the total above which has helped young children and their families smile again.
